MQTT Client Access and Data Flow

Use a real MQTTX client and the FMQ client details to complete MQTT access, scheduled uplink reporting, detail statistics, recent messages, the full RabbitMQ message flow, platform downlink delivery, actual receipt in MQTTX, offline records, reconnection, and cleanup.

Page Guide

Use CasesSuitable for implementation and operations staff who need to run the full MQTT access, uplink, downlink, offline, and reconnection flow with a real MQTTX client in the FMQ console.
PrerequisitesYou can log in to the FMQ console and have client viewing and test command permissions. Prepare a working MQTTX client. Estimated time: 45 minutes.
Acceptance CriteriaThe client list shows the session online, Recent Messages shows uplink records, the message flow reaches the connector end to end, MQTTX actually receives the platform downlink, an offline record is generated after disconnection, and the session recovers after reconnection.

How to Read

Confirm the entry point, permissions, and target object first, then complete the operations in numbered order. Each step includes the expected result; detailed fields and options are collected in expandable reference tables.

Screenshot Notes

The screenshots come from the original operations manual. The public edition hides real node addresses, connection addresses, and credentials; the statuses, times, and data in the examples do not represent the current production environment.

FAQ

How do I check whether an MQTT device is online on FastBee?

Log in to the FMQ console, go to Devices → Clients, use the protocol filter to show only MQTT, then locate the device by searching for its Client ID; judge whether the session is still working by combining the online status with the last active time.

How do I confirm the device really received a command delivered by the platform?

On the Send Test Command page in the client details, fill in the downlink topic, QoS, and message body and send it; then return to MQTTX to check the actual received message, payload, and receive time on the corresponding subscribed topic — if all three match, receipt is confirmed.

How long are the recent offline records in the client details retained?

At most the last 10 in-memory records are kept; they are cleared after a service restart. Offline reasons distinguish manual disconnection, heartbeat timeout, channel closure, or session replacement.

First enable tracing on the client row; after the device reports uplink data, open the Message Flow tab in the details and check the source topic, RabbitMQ queue, Alink message, rule processing, and connector section by section; you can also expand the timeline from access to reporting.
